FAQ
All of our pieces are handmade in small batches within our Sydney studio. Proudly, up to 80% of our product and materials are sourced locally in Australia.
We use an eco-friendly resin sourced in Australia to create each piece. The resin we use is a combination of a reactive mineral base and a pure water based resin.
Our pieces are principally designed for decor and are suitable for dry food presentation only.
After dry food usage, wash your piece under warm water and wipe down with a dry cloth immediately. Due to the medium we use there are possibilities of markings from certain food items.
To keep your piece in its best form, avoid any contact with direct heat such as an oven, microwave or dishwasher. Our pieces are durable, although should be treated and handled with gentle care as you would with any glass or ceramics.
Our pieces are water-based, non-solvent and contain no VOCs. Each piece has been hand polished and wax sealed for your safety, and we recommend all pieces to be used for decoration purposes only.
To keep your piece in its best form avoid any contact with direct heat sources such as an oven, microwave or dishwasher environments.
We are a plastic-free zone when it comes to the creation of our pieces, utilising reusable silicone mixing tools and items that are washed and reused. Any wastage is repurposed and recycled correctly. We strongly encourage that any stickers we've used on our shipper boxes upon delivering your pieces are removed before recycling. We currently do not take custom orders, although something we may consider for the future.
Yes, each piece will have minor bubbles on the surface and at the base. There will also be minor variations in colour and textures, which is not considered a fault and is a part of the natural man-made process. The resin we use is made up of two parts, a reactive mineral base and a pure water based resin that is combined together to create a mixture that is then poured into our moulds. During this process, air bubbles will naturally float to the top of the mould resulting in the final texture and finish of our pieces.
